CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM - ICF - POLYESPANSO®

The Poliespanso® Construction System consists of the combination of the 2 ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) formwork units for WALL and FLOORS SLAB with the element PARTITION WALL PLASTBAU®.

These 3 structural units share the same philosophy, i.e. designed with variable geometry to meet the different design requirements of the building, which are first the static requirements and then the thermal insulation performance.

Thanks to its lightness, safety, flexibility of use, workability and ease of installation, the POLIESPANSO® ICF integrated construction system represents a modern alternative to traditional systems and the real opportunity to transform the construction process from artisan to industrial with quality and efficiency results verified in over 30 years of experience.

A fundamental feature of this product is the insulation without thermal arcs: living comfort, energy saving, ease of transport and installation complete the advantages of the structural characteristics of the product. Using the products of the ICF Poliespanso Construction System, it is possible to reduce the energy consumption of a building, thus avoiding part of the emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants and maintaining a high level of thermal and living comfort over time.

A CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM CONSISTING OF 3 UNITS


Floors Slab

Floors Slab Plastbau® Metal

ICF-panel 60 cm wide at the required project length; self-supporting up to a maximum of two metres; height of the panel with variable geometry (H+K) with H-rafter section and incorporated thermal insulation K; to create sanitary slabs, inter-storey slabs and roofs to be reinforced and cast with onsite concrete.

Main variables of the ICF product to be identified according to the needs of each application and project:

  • H - height of the reinforced concrete structural joist (10 to 50 cm high) + 5 cm of hood
  • K - thickness of the under-beam sheet (from 3 to 8 cm thickness) for thermal insulation
  • L - length of the elements to cover the light of the floor

Its high performance is the result of the structural joining between expanded polystyrene and suitably perforated and shaped galvanized metal profiles. The union between the foam mass and the metal inserts inside gives the panels the self-supporting and stiffness required to support the first phase loads, i.e. fresh concrete, reinforcing irons, workers, etc., even with a very low own weight (7 Kg/sqm). The floor is made up of EPS 100 panels, produced continuously with variable thickness, from a minimum of 18 cm to a maximum of 32 cm. There are panels for large spans up to a maximum 50 cm thick, the increase from 30 cm onwards is made with EPS 70, to meet the needs of capacity and insulation required.

Floors Slab Plastbau® Metal is available in the following models according to the type of application and the type of internal finish to be achieved:

  • Model I - with built-in galvanized plaster door mesh: for internal plaster finish
  • Model C - without plaster net: for internal dry finishing (plasterboard type)
  • Model S - EPS only: for sanitary wares only / ventilated floors

FLOORS SLAB PLASTBAU® METAL ACCESSORIES

  • Under-beam EPS shaped slab, 3/4/5/6/7/8 cm thick for thermal insulation of the beams


WALL PLASTBAU® 3

Wall Plastbau® 3

ICF units, standard 120 cm wide; self-supporting; produced in the required design height; high-density EPS slabs joined and spaced by metal frames that also contribute to the reinforcement of the cement to be cast on site inside them. Total width of each variable geometry element with built-in thermal insulation to build load-bearing walls.

Main variables of the ICF product to be identified according to the needs of each application and project:

  • thickness of the EPS internal slabs (from 3 to 10 cm thick) for thermal insulation.
  • thickness of the EPS externals slab (from 3 to 25 cm thick) for thermal insulation.
  • internal distance between the 2 EPS slabs (from 12 cm to 30 cm thick) which will be the thickness of the reinforced concrete wall.
  • diameter of the vertical irons of the inner frame: diam. 8 mm / 10 mm diameter).

The units are standard 120 cm (or sub-measures) wide with project height, they are laid side by side and tied to create a rigid ICF structure ready to receive the integration of the reinforcement rods and the subsequent casting of the cement; WALL PLASTBAU® 3 is well suited to any type of project.

A standard WALL PLASTBAU® 3 panel, 120 cm wide and 300 cm high, weighs about 22 kg.

Two people can therefore easily move and position it without the use of lifting equipment.

WALL PLASTBAU® 3 standard is always available with CAPS IN THICKNESS on both EPS sheets; on request, another 2 MODELS are available depending on the type of application and external finish to be achieved:

  • BUILT-IN CAP flush to the external EPS sheet or
  • COVERED CAP on the external EPS sheet

The caps are screwed on and can be used as a fastener for both internal and external dry finishing elements.

PLASTBAU® ACCESSORIES

  • Metal C-rails - galvanized 4 x 5.5 x 4 cm - 4 x 6.0 x 4 cm - 4 x 8 x 4 cm as alignment guide profile to fix the internal slab of each WALL PLASTBAU 3 element to the ground
  • EPS 150 counter-top, 12/15/20/25/30 cm wide and 5/7.5/10/12.5/15 cm thick for closing wall terminals, windows and doors in wall thickness
  • EPS 150 slabs, 120 cm wide and 5/7.5/10/12.5/15/20 cm thick for closing corners and any under windows and lintels


PARTITION WALL PLASTBAU®

Partition Wall Plastbau®

60 cm wide structural panel with metal reinforcement, made of EPS and steel metal profiles; thickness ranging from 6 cm to 20 cm; produced to project length. The 2 metal profiles offer an integrated fastening system for quick and easy installation of internal and external finishes. The thickness of the metal C-shaped profiles accounts for 8/10 mm - Distance between the metal profiles 30 cm.

In panels standard 6, 8, 10, 12 cm thick, the height of the two internal metal profiles plunged in EPS corresponds to the thickness of the panel to which they are applied. Profile maximum 12 cm high.

On request, a version of the PARTITION WALL PLASTBAU with an external and/or internal 12 cm metal profile covered with EPS, maximum 20 cm thick is available.

The metal profiles of Partition Wall Plastbau® panels also serve as anchors for dry finishing such as plasterboard or other types of panels.

Partition Wall Plastbau® panels are easily and suitably anchored to the lower and upper floors by means of L-shaped metal profiles; they replace the traditional internal partition walls and the external curtain walls of beam and pillar structures made of perforated bricks. Laying is extremely simple and fast and the laying methods change according to the specific applications.
